In its continuous efforts to foster a culture of responsible internet use in the community and increase public awareness about online threats, Brunei Computer Emergency Response Team (BruCERT) today officially launched its new website www.secureverifyconnect.info.
The launch was officiated by YB Pg Shamhary bin Pg Dato Paduka Haji Mustapha, Minister of Transport and Infocommunications (MTIC) during the opening ceremony of the Digital Technology Week of Brunei Mid-Year Conference and Exhibition (MYCE) 2022.

being briefed by Shamsul Bahri Haji Kamis, Interim Commissioner of Cyber Security Brunei
The website was initially introduced to the public in 2013 to complement BruCERT’s ongoing Secure Verify Connect (SVC) public awareness campaign. Its purpose is to provide the public with easy access to advise and guidance on common issues related to online safety including social media, cyberbullying, online predators, internet addiction and online safety for children.
The latest version of the SVC website now makes it even easier for the public to find the information that they need. It contains articles for various audiences such as students, parents, businesses, and individuals. It also includes the latest BruCERT news, cyber threat alerts, advisories, awareness videos and webinars. Educators will find useful resources including posters and booklets, to support them in educating people about online safety.
To encourage the public to visit the site and learn about cybersecurity, BruCERT is running a Digital Treasure Hunt. Players who successfully complete the hunt will have a chance to win cash prizes. Go to https://bit.ly/huntSVC to join the hunt. The SVC Digital Treasure Hunt will remain open until 20th June 2022.
